What Is the Drying Method of Dehumidifying Dryer?

Dehumidifying dryers are widely used drying equipment with high efficiency and good drying effect, gradually replacing traditional hot air machines and playing an important role. Today, Shouxi will introduce the drying method of dehumidifying dryer.

Drying method of dehumidifying dryer

Heating drying method

Heating drying is to use heat energy to heat the material and evaporate the moisture in the material. Usually, air is used to dry the material. The air is preheated and sent into the dryer to transfer heat to the material. The moisture in the material is gasified at high temperature, forming water vapor and carried out of the drying drum with the air. After heating and drying, the material can remove the moisture in it and achieve the required moisture content of the product or raw material.

Chemical dehumidification method

Dehumidifying dryers use chemical dehumidification to remove a small amount of water from gas, liquid, and solid materials using a desiccant. Due to the limited dehumidifying capacity of the desiccant, it is only used to remove trace amounts of water in the material, so it is rarely used in production.

Mechanical dehydration method

Mechanical dehydration is achieved by applying pressure to the material to squeeze out some of the water. Common methods include squeezing, settling, filtering, centrifugal separation, etc. The mechanical dehydration method can only remove some free water in the material, and combined with the water remaining in the material, the material still contains moisture after mechanical dehydration, and the drying effect is not obvious. However, the mechanical dehydration method is relatively the most economical method.

Operating procedure of the dehumidifying dryer

  • Set all circuit breakers in the control box to the "ON" position. Press the operation and stop buttons on the control panel. If the indicator light is on, it means that the operation has started. After drying, press the operation and stop buttons again, and the indicator light flashes slowly, indicating that it is in cooling operation. Turn off the machine after 5 minutes.

  • Setting the drying temperature: according to the instructions, switch modes twice, and when the drying temperature setting display shows the symbol of ℃, press the up arrow button to set the required drying temperature.

  • The material feeding can be carried out in one, two, or three times. Press the corresponding feeding, stop button and times according to different times.

  • When the dehumidifying dryer automatically feeds from the drying drum to the molding machine hopper, first open the first feeding, keep the material in the drying drum full, and then press the second or third feeding to feed the material to the molding machine hopper. When the material in the hopper is full, the indicator light of the hopper is on, and at the same time, the indicator light of feeding 2 (or feeding 3) is on.

  • If there is any abnormality during the use of the desicant dryer, the alarm will sound, and the abnormal code will be displayed on the monitor. Press the input button to confirm the alarm and stop the alarm. After the abnormality is eliminated, press the reset button to clear the alarm code.
